It's a windy week here in Bisbee, and, we're holding on to our hats to keep them from blowing away! But, the skies are sunny and the weather is beautiful. And, it's Memorial Day Weekend! 

The Bisbee Gem & Mineral Show is happening at the Queen Mine Tour building in Old Bisbee from 9 til 5 on Saturday, the 26th. Plenty of fascinating and beautiful mineral specimens and jewelry will be on display. Always a not-to-be-missed show!
 

Saturday evening brings great musical entertainment - The Bennu, visiting from Tucson, will rock the Bisbee Grand tonight from 9 til 11 p.m. Also, Buzz & the Soul Senders will be playing at St. Elmo's Bar on Brewery Gulch from 9:30 to 1 a.m. for your dancing pleasure!
 

On Sunday, don't miss Paintress Gretchen's "Closing Party" at SamPoe Gallery from 1 to 3 p.m. for wine, art, and conversation. And, pick up a special painting by Bisbee's beloved Paintress! Make your live more colorful! 

Most importantly, remember the Veterans in our lives this Memorial Day Weekend. Many thanks to those who are currently serving our Country, those who have served, and, remember those who have lost their lives while protecting us. Local breadmaker, Juliette Beaumont, of Guadalupe Baking Company lost her nephew in Afghanistan in 2009 and she is sending care packages to the servicemen and women in Afghanistan.
